Who we are

Internal users (teachers, researchers, students, staff members and people involved in academic activities) of the University of Bergamo have priority in accessing services.
Library services are also available to anyone who provides the library with a letter of introduction and reference from members of the faculty.

Anyone may visit the library and use the books and journals available on open shelves.
Some kinds of documents are for reading on site only:

  • Periodicals
  • Reference books
  • Microforms
  • Dissertations (with the author’s written permission)

Users must show their library card in order to checkout books.

Library cards are issued to external users at the cost of € 26.
Undergraduate students may checkout up to 5 books, graduate students 10, external users 3.
If you are preparing a dissertation or you are doing a doctorate, ask the desk to upgrade your borrowing rights increasing the number and circulation time of loans.

Interlibrary services

Interlibrary loans (ILL) and document delivery (DD) services are provided to internal users only.
